Bridget's Top Pick: EZ-Match.com This is my pick for a site to watch, and one of 2 sites I use exclusively now. Fairly new but growing in membership fast, it's got a young, hip feel with fun, sexy profiles and some very cool features. I LOVE their Flash-based instant messenger which is way better than most other sites. I rate EZ-match a high 9 out of 10!

Bridget's Best of the Rest: Matchmaker.com One of the originals and still going strong. A good feature set, although their sign-up process is VERY lengthy and you can't choose your own name. These days they seem very aggressive about getting you to purchase memberships. My rating is 7. Lavalife.com A sexy site which lets you target your profile based on what you're looking for. When creating your profile you must choose first whether you want dating, relationshhips or sex. In my experience if you're flexible...it's a pain to have multiple profiles. I'm also not crazy about their "pay-as-you-go" token system. Looks 9. Usability 6. Match.com One of the biggest sites on the 'Net which seems to have swallowed up AOL's and MSN's free personals and some others. Their technology is great, but I find them a bit cold and lacking in personality. Dating sites should be fun! I give them a 7. Nerve.com This artsy (and some might say pretentious) site tries hard, but seems a bit too self-conscious for my taste. How many guys in black turtlenecks do you need anyway? Their sign up process is awkward and confusing and their IM technology is annoying. Style 8. Attitude 4. Kiss.com The Kiss picture personals site claims to have over 2 million members. Unfortunately, you can't browse the database without first creating a profile. It's a lot like Match.com in look and functionality. I give it a 7. Friendfinder.com Friendfinder is a large network of sites catering to different target audiences and ethnic groups. Unlike some of the other sites, you can easily browse the database before committing to membership. Their design is dull, but the site is easy to use and fast. I give them an 8.
